Icelandic Aquatic Animals is hosting "Sharks in the Classroom" school visits. The visits aim to raise awareness among primary school children about the importance of sharks in natural and cultural terms. Animal historian Kalda [Dalrún Kaldakvísl] has researched Iceland's shark history and talks to the kids about the history and behavior of the shark, showing them excerpts from interviews with elderly shark experts as well as rare underwater footage of the shark, filmed by biologist Chris Harvey-Clark.

The Sharks in the Classroom project is a vital component of the effort to establish a connection between future generations and sharks.
